Advertising Guidelines/Standards – BoonGo.com does not sell holidays directly, we display third party advertisers who then advertise holidays and holiday offers on the website. It is essential therefore, that you check the bonding arrangements of the agent you are booking with, as BooknGo, although endeavouring to ensure you are buying from financially protected good quality agents, can not be held responsible for any financial protection or liability for any holiday booked on the website.
BooknGo makes every effort to ensure your peace of mind by ensuring that advertisers comply with regulations and the law. We also have a consumer protection promise that requires anyone advertising on the website to have customer protection in place for package and flight advertising. Advertisers remain responsible for all aspects of the holidays that they are selling and have to abide by our compliance rules in order to be able to advertise on the website.
Customer Protection Promise
We check and vet all travel agents advertising on the site and they must be approved by us to be able to advertise on the site.
Every travel agent advertising on the site must be bonded with an approved form of protection for the customer e.g. ATOL/ABTA protection.
We have a strict set of compliance rules that our advertisers must comply to.
We spot check our advertisers and their holidays and have a team specifically assigned to this task to ensure advertisers are abiding to the rules.
We encourage feedback on the agent's advertising on the site from you, the customer, including complaints which we will take action on if need be.
ABTA and ATOL protection
Every travel agent advertising on BooknGo must be bonded with an approved form of protection including ABTA/ATOL. Always look for the ABTA and ATOL logos when booking a holiday to be sure of financial protection if a tour operator goes out of business.
Make sure you check the individual bonding arrangements of the agent you are booking with. For more information on ABTA/ ATOL and to understand exactly what cover this gives you when booking a holiday - please visit their respective websites at www.atol.org.uk and www.abta.com
All prices displayed on BooknGo must be inclusive of all compulsory charges such as fuel supplements and airport charges. Any additional non-compulsory charges must be clearly shown on the advertised holiday offer. These may include transfers, in flight meals and baggage charges.
Please clarify any arrangements or extras with the travel agent when booking to be sure of exactly what is included in your holiday.
Offers on screen must be shown with a specific departure date or else be currently available, which is defined as being available for departure from the UK within the next 28 days. The date the offer was posted onto the website will be displayed on the right hand side of the offer - this will be the last date that the offer was checked by the agent. It is compulsory for all agents advertising on the website to check their offers a minimum of every two weeks.
There are different classification systems for accommodation. Some countries use an official star rating system and others use independent bodies. It is advisable to check which classification system applies. If a 'Tour Operator Rating' is given, viewers should request details of the standards the hotel has attained to be awarded the rating.
Accommodation and Board Basis
Definitions of the different types of board basis (e.g. SC, BB) vary between operators. Please ensure that you request full details from the travel agent on the facilities available when booking or enquiring. A glossary of terms can be found on our FAQ page.
Share basis will be stated on each holidays offer e.g. based on share 2 Adults 2 Child, with the use of abbreviations Ad for Adult and Ch for Child within the search results e.g. Share 2xAd 2xCh
If an overall Family price is available this will be shown on the holiday search results with the words 'Family prices available'
Single person supplements may apply.
Unless otherwise stated a child is considered to be up to and including 12 years old in relation to advertised holiday offers
